MEAF installs solar panels to reduce CO₂ footprint
One of the most challenging tasks of every plastic (machine) manufacturer is to reduce the CO₂ footprint of its production plants. A large contributor of the CO₂ emissions of a sheet extrusion line is the energy consumption.
As a part of our carbon footprint reduction, we are currently installing > 700 solar panels, with an installed power of 279 kWp which enables us to generate 246.000 kWh of electricity each year!

Visit of Mayor and Members of Council of the Muncipality of Reimerswaal to MEAF
We were honoured to host our Mayor, of the Muncipality of Reimerswaal (Gemeente Reimerswaal), together with a delegation of the Members of Council in order to inform them about the possibilities of plastic recycling, the (underexposed) benefits of plastic cup recycling vs. paper cups with plastic coating.
During this visit we were given the chance to illustrate how MEAF Machines B.V.’s energy efficient sheet extrusion are contributing to reduce energy consumption, CO2 footprint and assist companies in maximising their recycling & sustainable production capabilities.
